In Wild Season, you can own a variety of animals. Most can be purchased from Stefan Giles' Rancher Supply store north of your farm. Upon purchase, you can name your animal.
There are three ways to raise an animal's affection stat: talk to all animals once a day (k by default for keyboards), pick up smaller animals once a day (j by default for keyboards), and brush larger animals once a day (k by default for keyboards, like any other tool).
Animals must be fed once a day or their health stat will deteriorate, making them susceptible to sickness.
Chickens can be bought at Stefan Giles' Rancher Supply store north of your farm for 2000 Aur. Chicken feed costs 10 Aur each at the store and can allegedly be made from corn crops. It takes 6-14 days after purchase (or perhaps based on affection stat?) for a chicken to start laying eggs.
Eggs ship for 30 Aur each.
Assuming you get an egg for every day after the maximum 14 day wait, it would take you just over 2 seasons to make back your 2000 Aur that you originally spent on each animal.
Cows can be bought at Stefan Giles' Rancher Supply store north of your farm for 3000 aur. Cow feed costs 10 aur each at the store.
While a cow is an exciting purchase in your animal wrangler career, you also need the appropriate tools to start earning a return on good old Bessy.
To increase the Affection you will need a brush which will set you back 3000 Aur. You will also need to have in your inventory a milking tool which costs an additional 2500 Aur.
With these two tools in your arsenal you can begin your milk kingdom however at a grand total of 8500 Aur not to mention Cow Feed. Is it really worth it?
Sheep can be bought at the Stefan Giles' Rancher Supply store north of your farm for 5000 aur.
